Dec 17, 2013·I have used Zote (prefer to fels naptha) to make a liquid mix, basically using 1 bar of Zote, 2 cups washing soda, and 2 cups borax. I cut the Zote into chunks and melt on the stovetop with 6 cups water, add washing soda and borax and stir until all is dissolved, then pour 4 cups hot water into 2+ gallon bucket, add soap mix and stir.

Shred bar soap with cheese grater or food processor. Put in large bowl. Add 1 cup borax. Add 1 cup washing soda. Mix with hands or mixing utensil until well combined. Pour mixture into glass jar or airtight container & store in a cool dry place. Add 1 tbsp. to an average size load of laundry and let washing machine do its thing!

There were several that were just as natural as Kirk Castille Soap! I purchased four to try out.
